Everyone enjoys to have there air conditioner working properly especially on a hot summer day. So when your car starts to blow warm air from the vents you know your air conditioning system has a problem. There could be a few reasons why your car is blowing hot air out the vents, low refrigerant, a leak in the system, electrical problem or a dirty condenser. To check and see if you’re A/C compressor is creating hot air to come out our vents, you can try testing it by attaching the clutch wire to the positive side of the battery.
If the compressor does not turn then your compressor is bad and will need to be replaced. Your air conditioner can be low on Freon causing the air to blow out hot. It is important to check for leaks prior to refilling the Freon. You’re A/C system is a closed system so if the Freon went down it probably means you have a leak in the system. In order to check for leaks you have to run a dye through the system in order to identify where it is coming from. It is best to take your car to a qualified mechanic that can trouble shoot these type of problems and make the necessary repairs.
